"We’ve traveled through deserts, Survived by His grace we’ve kept souvenirs,to commemorate All the times that he washed the tears from our faces showed us new places to help renovate us "

We attend a church in Charlotte called Renovatus...  They have a Vision Statement called the Manifesto... Now before you think twice concerning the name of the church and the vision statement you must simply read it....

Part of the manifesto and part of this one song, Renovate us...  Talks about cherishing places of remembrance.. Remembering all that God has done... In remembering that which God is doing we celebrate what it is we are becoming.. We are under the renovating hand of God... There is an aspect of honoring the process of "Becoming" and the pastor's wife, Amanda, brought that concept into the logo for the women's ministry.

I have felt that the Lord declared over me after a very very long wilderness season that the winter was indeed past...

In this season as I truly feel like I am emerging from the long winter and as we prepare to make a geographical move I felt I wanted to commemorate this time.. I wanted to honor this place that has helped me become....  I wanted the remembrance of this place forever etched into my walk and upon my heart....  Yes, the winter has passed... Yes, I am becoming.... Yes, I am seeing the goodness of God in the land of the living... I am a liar.. a dreamer ... and a misfit... and I have learned more than anything that:

We all have a story, a messy tale marked by grace
Full of anticipation for the coming salvation
We’re a house full of mercy, a body that’s bursting with love
We speak for the unspoken, and we pull for the broken ones

A living and walking memorial of all that the Lord has done...  "The Lord has done great things for us and we are glad."  Psalm 126:3

lyrics
Calling daughters and sons, you beautiful ones draw near
And join in a song about how we have journeyed here
With celebrations of generations gone by
And new pictures of love, drawn in the blood of a Son

As we walk we walk in light, God Himself He is the light
We’ll share life together
With perfect love that shatters fear, the darkest days will be made clear
And we’ll share life together

We all have a story, a messy tale marked by grace
Full of anticipation for the coming salvation
We’re a house full of mercy, a body that’s bursting with love
We speak for the unspoken, and we pull for the broken ones

We’ve traveled through deserts, Survived by His grace
we’ve kept souvenirs,to commemorate
All the times that he washed the tears from our faces
showed us new places to help renovate us

So build up your altars, call down the fire, rejoice as the flames reach higher
So build up your altars, call down the fire, rise up
So build up your altars, call down the fire, rejoice as the flames reach higher
So build up your altars, call down the fire, rise up all you dreamers,
misfits, and liars

All you Children of God, open up wide your hands
We’re a rejoicing nation, under His renovation
So lift up your voice, make a joyful noise, just sing
Offer up all your praises, to the one who has saved us, sing
